You know now, more than ever, it’s important to pause and recognize those physicians and doctors and surgeons that have taken care of us, not just in the last 12 months during this pandemic. But those who have made colombia a health care destination and a center for medical excellence that has served thousands of families, not just here in columbia and boone county, but across the entire midwest.

Thank you and happy doctor’s day. As doctors we spend every day taking care of other people today is doctor’s day, so i want to make sure that each of you is taking time to care for yourself and take time out to recognize all that you do. I appreciate all the effort and work that the doctors put in to training our medical students. Thank you very much have a great day, hi i’m governor mike parson, in recognition of national doctor’s day to all the doctors in missouri. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your hard work, your dedication to some of the most trying times our state has ever seen. I just appreciate you being on the front lines. I appreciate your guidance for myself as governor and for the people of this state. It is an honor for me to recognize you today on national doctor’s day, it’s hard to believe that it’s been 11 months since i arrived at mizzou. During that time, i have witnessed a team of doctors who are not only hardworking but are extremely welcoming as well. Even to those who come from rival schools, but i can honestly say it’s very good to be back home in missouri. Joining a new team during a pandemic could have been tough but i’ve, been so impressed by your dedication, collegiality and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. I’M excited to lead alongside you.

What do you think?
