Audio Quality
The Air Mini 2 offers a good quality audio experience with a punchy bass and a warm sound. The virtualization is accurate and directional sound can be heard from all eight directions. The staging is decent, although the surround sound or rear direction is slightly too close to the center. Instrument separation is standard and there is no noticeable delay in gaming mode. The latency is around 100ms, making it suitable for gaming.
Microphone Quality
The microphone on the Air Mini 2 is decent and works well. The character of the Bluetooth earphones is still quite noticeable, with the gain being quite detailed, although not overly natural. To test the microphone, I recorded audio with the Air Mini 2 while running a fan and playing a caf noise video on a smartphone beside me. The results showed that the microphone was able to pick up my voice clearly, despite the background noise.
The Earfun Air Mini 2 is a great budget-friendly earphone that offers good quality audio and microphone performance. It is suitable for gaming and streaming, but may not be the best choice for those seeking a more balanced and detailed sound. However, for its price point of around Rp. 300,000, the Air Mini 2 can be considered as successful as the Free Mini.
