GTA 6: New Features
GTA 6 is set to be the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series, and it’s sure to bring some exciting new features. One of the biggest changes is the instant character switching, which is something we’ve never seen before. Unlike in GTA 5 and prior titles from Rockstar, there won’t be a loading screen when switching between characters. This will be made possible by the power of the new consoles for the PS5 and current gen Xbox.
Inventory Layout Revamp
The inventory layout is also getting a complete revamp. It will have separate categories for each individual weapon wheel that you scroll through, and there will be different categories for the equipment, weapons, and gear. It will follow a very similar layout and style to the inventory and weapon wheel that we currently have in Red Dead 2, so if you’ve played that game, you’ll have an idea of what to expect in GTA 6.
GTA 6: Limited Weapon Capacity and New Mechanics
Rockstar is trying to make GTA 6 as realistic as possible, which means some changes are coming to the game that some people may not like. One of these changes is the fact that players will have a limited weapon capacity for how many weapons and guns they are able to carry on their character at one time.
In the early Alpha gameplay, it was confirmed that players would only be able to carry two different assault rifles and two pistols at once. However, there is good news for players as there is different equipment and things they can use to carry more weapons.
For example, carrying a duffel bag in GTA 6 will allow players to carry more weapons and more equipment, making it a lot more realistic. It is not yet known exactly how many more weapons the duffel bags will give players, but it was seen in the early Alpha footage.
Inventory navigation is also a lot more functional in GTA 6, making it easier to manage the weapons and equipment players are carrying. This is a great addition to the game and will help make it more realistic.
GTA 6 – New Features
GTA 6 is set to bring a host of new features to the game, including special character abilities and advanced water mechanics.
Advanced Eagle Eye
One of the new features coming to GTA 6 is Advanced Eagle Eye, which will uncover different and hidden things on the GTA 6 map. This feature is also seen in Red Dead Redemption 2, where different special abilities can be used to give the character special powers. The one seen in the early Alpha footage was the enhanced Eagle Eye, which showed on the map icons of secrets and areas of the map that are usually harder to find.
Surfing and Advanced Water Mechanics
Another new feature coming to GTA 6 is surfing and advanced water mechanics. Rockstar has hired a team of 30 engineers to make the water mechanics as realistic as possible. This is sure to be a great addition to the game and will give players plenty to explore when the game is released.
GTA 6: Water Mechanics and Cuba
A team of 30 people have been working on GTA 6 for the past five or six years, with the goal of making the water mechanics as real as possible. It has been confirmed that players will be able to surf, swim and scuba dive in GTA 6. This is a great addition to the game, as in GTA 5 there was no real incentive to explore the ocean.
Cuba to Feature in GTA 6
It was recently confirmed that Cuba is likely to be featured in GTA 6, and will play a major role in the game’s storyline and missions. Cuba will be its own island on the map, which makes sense as rumors have suggested that GTA 6 will take place in Southern Florida, more specifically in Miami. Cuba is located just below the tip of Florida in the same ocean.
GTA 6 Map and Storyline
It has been confirmed that the GTA 6 map will be split into two separate areas, allowing for more exploration and gameplay. Additionally, it has been confirmed that the storyline will involve drug cartels and drug trafficking, as this is a prevalent issue in real life.
First Mission
The first mission in GTA 6 will involve the main character and another character robbing a diner. Early images of this mission have been leaked, showing the pop ups and other visuals. This mission is similar to the start of GTA 5, where the main character robs a bank and then tries to escape the cops in a getaway car.
Hyper Realistic Gameplay
Rockstar is aiming to make GTA 6 as hyper realistic as possible, in order to make it as fun as possible. This is evident in the first mission, which is similar to the start of GTA 5.
Dynamic Hair Growth in GTA 6
GTA 6 is set to introduce a revolutionary new feature – dynamic hair growth. This means that the hair and facial hair of your character will grow in real-time, just like in real life. This means that you will have to customize your character or go for haircuts more frequently than in GTA 5, where whatever you customize your character with is how it stays.
NPCs with AI
The NPCs in GTA 6 are also set to receive a massive update. It has been confirmed that the NPCs will be using early stages of AI to generate new replies to different players and scenes, depending on what is going on around you. This means that no two players will get the same response from the NPCs, which is a great addition to the game.
Dynamic Hair Growth and NPCs
The dynamic hair growth feature and the update to the NPCs go hand in hand. Depending on what your character looks like, you will get different interactions and responses from the NPCs around the map. This means that the NPCs will be able to recognize different characters and respond accordingly.
Haircuts and AI in GTA 6
GTA 6 is set to be a revolutionary game, with AI and machine learning involved in the game. One of the ways this will be seen is in the NPCs (non-player characters) that you interact with. Depending on the haircut you have, the NPCs will remember you from previous interactions and give you different replies and responses. This will make the game feel more realistic and more fun in the long run, as you can get an infinite amount of different replies and responses.
Main Characters
The two main characters and protagonists that we will be switching between while playing the GTA 6 campaign are Jason and Lucia. Lucia is one of the first female protagonist characters we are able to play as in the GTA series. It has been rumored, based off some of the leaked voice lines and images, that there might be a love interest between these two characters as you play them. However, since a lot of the campaign has not been leaked yet, we only have early screenshots and low-quality gameplay of what these characters look like.

We now know what the two main characters of GTA 6 will look like, and the fact that there will be a love interest between them makes for an interesting dynamic.
Take Two Interactive CEO Confirms Release Date
Thanks to Take Two Interactive CEO doing a bunch of news and media interviews recently, and with the leak of how they’re going to actually spend their 90 million dollar budget for Rockstar, it confirms that GTA 6 is going to be released anytime from October 2023 up until April of 2024. If it releases after that period, then a lot of the speculation is wrong.
Expected Release Date
Based on the dates, early information we have, and also their new marketing agency, with how much money they’re spending and where they’re allocating it, it does confirm we are going to be getting GTA 6 here within the next year and a half. It was confirmed by Take Two Interactive CEO that its going to be coming within the fiscal year of 2025. So at the very least its going to be dropping late 2024, which is very, very exciting.
