2K’s Upcoming Race to NXT DLC Pack
This week, 2K has released the first look at their upcoming Race to NXT DLC pack, giving us a glimpse of three new character showcases.
Abaddon
First up is the Living Dead Girl, Abaddon. We’ve seen her before in some of the older footage and screenshots, but this is the first time we’ve seen her properly shown off.
Mr Brodie Lee
The second reveal is Mr Brodie Lee, who is accompanied to the ring by the dark order. This footage also gives us a first glimpse of Dustin Rhodes, who was previously confirmed but had yet to be shown off. We can also see that the guard rails can be broken during gameplay, as Brody’s suplex throws the guardrail over, breaking it completely.
Sting
The third character showcase is the icon Sting, with this footage giving us a look at his entrance and special moves. We also get to see some new tag team moves, with foreign videos being shown off this week.
Team Footage Revealed for AEW Fight Forever
Team footage was set to be the focus of this week’s episode of the AEW Fight Forever arcade, however, due to problems with the hotel Wi-Fi, evil Uno was unable to update his Steam deck and the tag team matches didn’t happen. Despite this, some new reveals were shared.
The AEW Games Twitter account shared a new video of last month’s preview event, featuring some new tag team footage. The first confirmation was of the Inner Circle, with footage of Chris Jericho and Sami Guevara. Tag team entrances and stat tracking were also shown off.
The women’s roster was also seen taking part in tag team matches, with confirmation of Anna J. I know being shown hitting a diving elbow from the top rope. Yuka Sagazaki was also shown in action, having been seen in minigame screenshots earlier in development.
New Tag Team Trailer
THQ Nordic shared a new tag team trailer, introducing the tag team mindset featuring the women of AEW Fight Forever. The trailer, titled “AEW Fight Forever: Introduces the Tag Team Mindset,” was met with applause.
Tag Team Matches with Shida, Chris Thatlander, Nyla Rose and Thunder Rosa
Fans have been asking for more tag team matches, and I’m ready to answer the call. But who should I team up with? I’m open to suggestions! Maybe Shida to take on Doctor Brit Baker and DMD in Avadon Applause? Or teaming up with Chris Thatlander to take on the Beast? Nyla Rose and Thunder Rosa would be an unstoppable force. Or what about me and Thunder Rosa versus Aubrey Edwards and Ruby Soho or Yuka? The possibilities are endless!
Auw Fight Forever Coming Soon
Auw Fight Forever is coming soon, and pre-orders are now available. The new trailer reveals more about the game, including new ways to interact with the ring area. Moves can now be performed onto the ring, and we get our first look at Aubry Edwards in action. She’s one of three unlockable characters, alongside Owen Haas and Paul White.
Tornado Tag Team Matches
The tag team trailer showcased some exciting action, with moves that looked more like a four-way match. This could be hinting at the inclusion of tornado tag team matches, where both parties can be in the ring at the same time. It would be great to see a tornado option added alongside the regular tag match.
AEW Fight Forever Introduces Best Tag Team Wrestling Division
AEW Fight Forever has introduced the best tag team wrestling division in the world today. Music Applause Forever will be available everywhere on June 29th for all your favorite game consoles and PC.
Reveal of Best Friends
The reveal of the best friends, Chuck Taylor and Trent Barrera, was also confirmed from the footage. The ability to play in agenda tag team matches was also showcased, with Sami teaming up with Tate to take on Kenny Omega.
New Tag Team Moves
We got our first look at some new tag team moves, including a double super kick for the Lucha Bros. The end of the trailer also showcased some stage gameplay, where we’ve seen Kenny Omega suplex Dustin Rhodes in the stage Tron, which causes the Tron to break and begin glitching out.
WWE 2K23 DLC Release
Switching to WWE 2K23, we’re less than a week away from the next DLC release, as the Race to NXT pack is scheduled to release on Wednesday June 14th. Ahead of the release, the WWE Games Twitter account has shared the full entrance video for WWE Hall of Fame at Harley Race, who headlines the pack alongside NXT Stars Ivy Nile, Tony D’Angelo, Trick Williams and Wendy Chu. The version of Harley Race that we’re getting is based on his run as the 1986 King of the Ring, and therefore sees him enter with the King of the Ring crown and Rob.
Harley’s Entrance Music
Harley Quinn has made her entrance into the world of WWE Games and she’s doing it in style. She’s using Jerry Lawler’s theme song, The Great Gate of Kiev, which was originally used by the King of the Ring winner before it was later adopted by Lawler.

Wrestling fans should keep their eyes on the WWE Games Twitter account for the latest news. It’s been announced that another heroines preview will drop tonight with the remaining reveals taking place next week, leading up to the release of the DLC on Wednesday.
